Ruka Nest is a collection of four cozy ski-in cabins in central Ruka Vuosseli: Rukan Naava, Rukan Varpu, Rukan Havu and Rukan Hilla. Each cabin is compact, warm and practical, designed for easy days on the slopes, peaceful evenings by the fire and year-round nature holidays in Kuusamo.

The cabins are set on their own peaceful plots among the pines, directly by Ruka’s ski area in Vuosseli. This is a true ski-in location: the slopes and ski routes are just steps away, so you can start your ski day from the cabin area and return easily after your last run. Restaurants, Ruka Village and the gondola are also within a short walk, making it easy to enjoy central Ruka without a car.

About Ruka Nest cabins

Ruka Nest was created around a simple idea: a Ruka holiday should feel easy, warm and close to nature.

Our four cabins — Naava, Varpu, Havu and Hilla — take their names from the northern forest. Naava is inspired by soft tree lichen, Varpu by the resilient shrubs of the forest floor, Havu by evergreen spruce branches, and Hilla by the golden cloudberry of the northern wetlands.

Together, they form a small collection of cozy forest nests in one of Finland’s best-known outdoor destinations. We want our guests to enjoy the comfort of a private cabin, the simplicity of self-check-in, and the freedom to step straight into Ruka’s slopes, trails, restaurants and nature.

Our aim is to offer accommodation that is practical, clean, welcoming and easy to enjoy — not a hotel, but a private home base for your time in Ruka.

Each cabin includes a private sauna, wood-burning fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, free parking and storage for skis and outdoor gear. The cabins sleep up to 7 guests and are suitable for families, couples, friends and well-behaved pets.
